Caving Trip 3: Tham Nam Lang

This is Thailand’s biggest volume cave and it is massive. We take you over 3 km into one of the world’s biggest river tunnels. If you have time for just one caving adventure in Thailand, don’t miss this one!

The trip involves a full one-hour drive each way. After the drive, walk up a very steep hill for about 1.5 hours to the enormous cave entrance chamber. Inside the cave we push upstream (waist-deep to neck-deep in some places). If you are willing to swim a bit, our guides can take you in even deeper! In some sections there is scrambling over rocks and breakdown (rockfall from ancient roof collapses). It is a long, fairly tough day, but no difficult climbing.

This cave has some massive and beautiful formations. As a bonus, on most evenings spectacular sunbeams stream into the entrance chamber, making for an incredible photo.
